Frequently Asked Questions
When do I choose/meet my puppy?
We begin our puppy visits when the puppies after they are about 5 weeks old. We do these visits via FaceTime or Zoom. We then arrange and time and place for you to pick up your puppy after they are 8 weeks old.
What will my puppy come home with?
Each puppy will come home with a blanket that has been snuggled on mom and siblings for comfort, the vet exam paper with vaccine/dewroming information as well as the AKC papers (if applicible to your puppy).
What does my puppy do while at the farm?
Puppies are dewormed as needed, given the first set of vaccines, weaned from mom around 7 weeks and will be eating dry dog food before leaving and will be examined by the vet. We also socialize them with our “team” of 8 children, and friends. They will be started on crate training and had nail trims and baths. We like to expose them to lots of sounds and sights and smells. Like: the children practicing playing piano, the loud vaccum, smelling dinner cooking and even meeting our other dogs, farm kitties and larger farm animals (from a safe distance). We make sure they are ready for loving homes!
What do we expect of you?
To take your new puppy to your vet within 72 hours of pick up. Please also change their food over slowly by mixing with the food that they are used to eating (we will be sure to send you a link of the kind your puppy is used to:) if you plan to switch brands. Also we don’t recommend giving booster vaccines any closer than 2-3 weeks apart.
What health tests have been performed?
All of our parent dogs have had their genetic testing done. We use Embark Vet. That is a genetic panel to ensure that the breeding is pure and they also test for over 200 genetic disorders that they could pass to their puppies. All of our parents are tested clear of these disorders!
What forms of payment do you accept?
We take cash, or credit cards with a 3% fee.
